Ford Explorer Takes the Top Spot in Q2 2025 Sales

In the second quarter of 2025, Explorer sales climbed to nearly 58,000 units, making it the best-selling individual model in its class. That momentum follows a refresh for the 2025 model year that adds new technology, simplified trim levels and improved value.

Analysts expect Explorer sales to continue rising as the lineup expands. The rugged Timberline trim is being replaced by a 2026 Explorer Tremor, and there are now just four trim levels—Active, Platinum, ST-Line and ST—making it easier to find the right configuration.
