Summary:

Twin Pine Ford is looking to hire a high quality and hardworking Pre-Owned Detailer to detail incoming vehicles according to Twin Pine Ford specifications. The detailer will restore pre-owned vehicles, both exterior and interior, to original condition following established reconditioning procedures.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) for FT roles;
  • Minimum 1 year of vehicle detailing experience (Preferred) but we will train the right candidates(s)

Essential Duties:

  • Restore pre-owned vehicles, both interior and exterior to original condition following reconditioning procedures
  • Clean and condition all vinyl and leather interior components
  • Wash, de-tar, clay, buff, and wax exterior of vehicles
  • Shampoo seats and carpets of vehicles
  • Wet sand
  • Prep vehicles including apply Twin Pine logo
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work independently and productively without immediate supervision
  • Must be able to handle exposure to harsh cleaning chemicals
  • Must be able to handle a buffer
  • Must be able to professionally provide touch up
  • Ability to detail interior of vehicles – sometimes from uncomfortable positions
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Ability to handle mechanical tools and equipment
  • Ability to be on your feet 8 hours a day (Getting in and out of vehicles)
  • Must be legally and technically able to safely operate company and customer-owned vehicles. SEATS BELTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN 100% OF THE TIME WHILE OPERATING ANY COMPANY OR CUSTOMER-OWNED VEHICLES
  • Must be able to be insured by the company insurance policy
  • Must follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor

Education and/ or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED (would be a plus)
  • Minimum 2 years of diesel truck experience, or technical school + experience equivalent to 2 years or more
  • Valid PA Inspection License and Emissions License Required
  • Ford Certified (would be a plus)
  • Factory Warranty Technicians (would be a plus)

Essential Duties:

  • Perform requested operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment
  • Document work performed and applicable technical information
  • Clean all parts that have been worked on and keep vehicles clean
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of personal work area
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Order parts according to dealership procedures
  • Conduct final inspection on all vehicles
  • Promote the sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs
  • Discuss work performed and changes with customer by telephone or upon arrival at dealership
  • Maintain working relationship with Ford engineers and hotline
  • Maintain department correspondence and files
  • Assist other technicians on the job; provide technical information; ensure use of correct tools and equipment
  • Keep workshop technical information updated. Maintain information library
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop, technician’s facilities, and service parking lot
  • Maintain vehicle service history files
  • Ability to work with specific computer software.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
