Cross-Traffic Alert warns drivers of vehicles approaching from behind as they reverse out of a driveway or parking area. The Lane-Keeping System warns drivers if they begin to drift from the correct lane of traffic. If the system detects multiple episodes of drifting, the driver will see a coffee icon which indicates they may want to take a break from driving. Pre-collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking detects objects or people in the line of travel and gives an alert if a collision seems to be possible. If the driver doesn’t react, the braking system can engage automatically. A Rear View Camera allows drivers the ability to see objects behind the vehicle to assist with backing into or out of parking places and driveways. Automatic High Beam Headlights adjust themselves depending upon the lighting. When oncoming headlights are detected, the lights will adjust to the dim setting. Active Park Assist is a feature that helps to park the vehicle with limited effort from the driver. Drivers accelerate, brake or shift when this feature is activated and the Edge will basically park itself. The Active Park Assist feature also has a Park Out Assist feature that helps drivers navigate out of parking places when another vehicle is parked too close to the side of the Edge.
